ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയില് തൊടുപുഴ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ജില്ലയില് ആദിവാസി മേഖലയില് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥാപനമാകുന്നു ഗവ. ട്രൈബല് ഹയര് സെക്കന്ഡറി സ്കൂള് പൂമാല. വെള്ളിയാമറ്റം പഞ്ചായത്തില് പൂമാല പ്രദേശത്ത് 1956ല് L.P. സ്കൂള് ആയി ആരംഭിച്ചു. ഇപ്പോള് പ്രീ പ്രൈമറി മുതല് ഹയര് സെക്കന്ഡറി വരെ 1000ല് അധികം കുട്ടികള് പഠിക്കുന്നു. 65% കുട്ടികളും ട്രൈബല് വിൂഭാഗത്തില് പെടുന്നു.

SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT – STREAMLINE
Our school is ahead pulling back its intricacies of infancy. It is in the zenith of excellencies in its fifty second year. During the course of time up heavels were there which challenged both the school and the village. From a thatched single room, now it changed to be a well-equipped school with smart classrooms, digital library and techno-centre. But failed to order and arrange it in its deserving priority. Lack of proper planning is reflecting here and there. High scores in academic level arouse the social status of the school. Availability of positive factors, which enabled the development of the school are here. The possibilities must be streamlined and utilized. The target should highlight our school ahead in the fast changing world. To achieve the goal, co-ordination of academic level and supporting groups is needed. Let’s have a sharpening for the best.

- To pilot Tribal educational research centre.
